Hi Everyone,

The other day I heard someone talking about how he’d helped a lady who had driven her car into a ditch. He’d asked her how it happened and she replied, “I was looking in the rear-view mirror instead of looking at the road ahead.”

Wow! It made me think how careful we need to be of the enemy’s ditches! He wants to ditch us so that it stops us from moving forward to fulfil God’s call on our lives! Proverbs 4:25 says…

“Look straight ahead and fix your eyes on what lies ahead”.

We need to be looking straight ahead. If we need to forgive someone from the past or need to be forgiven, just do it now and receive God’s forgiveness, then move forward with the help of the HOLY SPIRIT. Don’t keep looking in the rear-view mirror, it will keep you stuck in the past. Sometimes it’s ourselves we need to forgive which can be the hardest thing to do, but remember, God has forgiven us.

Isaiah 43:25 says, “I – Yes, I alone – will blot out your sins for My own sake and will never think of them again.”

"Sometimes the only thing keeping you from the future is the attachment of the past.” (S. Furtick)

Notice the rearview mirror is just for a quick glance not to be focused on, our eyes need to be on the road ahead with our focus on where we are going!

God says He has good plans for our lives just read Jerimiah 29:11, but those plans cannot be fulfilled unless Jesus paid the price with His life, just so we could be forgiven. (1 Peter 1:19)  Remember what happened to lot’s wife when she looked back, have a read in Genesis 19:26 and Luke 17:32.

Paul says in Philippians 3:13-14 “…I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead. I press on to reach the end of the race and reviewed the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.’

So, my friends, let's beware of the ditches and move forward fulfilling our destiny with the leading of the HOLY SPIRIT.
