Hi Everyone,

Have you ever thought about how much information we gather in a lifetime? We get information from school, other people, books, TV, google, news, etc. but how much of it is making a difference in our lives? How much of it is Truth?

When we read to the word of God, the Bible, are we reading just like any other book? Just gathering up of information and historic events or do we meditate on what more we read and allow the Holy Spirit to reveal the treasure in the Word?

God is not interested in giving us mere information, but he wants us to have a revelation of Himself! Of His love, goodness, faithfulness, etc. He is not hiding from us. We often read Jeremiah 29:11 but we don't often continue in vs. 1-14. which says,

"Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me with all your heart. pray and find me when you seek me and I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and I will bring you back from captivity!"

He promises to listen to us and says that we will find Him when we seek Him with all our hearts. So where are we going to find Him? How will He reveal Himself to us? In His Word! Yes, He can speak to us as we pray with prophetic words but most of the time it's as we read His word that we get revelation Knowledge. What's revelation Knowledge you may ask? That's the difference between mere information and having the word jump out of the page and speak words that leave you feeling like it was written especially for you!

You may have read that many times, but that day it was speaking to you! That's what makes a difference in our lives, that Word. If we allow it to sink into our hearts it has the power to transform our situation and in turn our lives. That's what God wants to do, He wants to "bring us back from captivity" (vs. 14) from the chains of lies the enemy has fed us with, God wants to set us free by the Truth of His Word, that's why He sent Jesus as a sacrifice for us, to break the curse that was upon us, so that we are no longer living under the curse that the enemy had us in but now we are under the Blood of Jesus, our Lord, and Saviour! 1 Peter 1:18-19 says,

"For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious Blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect."

John 8:36 says "So if the Son sets. for you are free, you will be free indeed."

Our enemy the devil, is always trying to stop us from Knowing the Truth by keeping us too busy or causing situations and circumstances that take our attention. Causing division among family or friends and even in the church because he knows that if we find out who we are and what we have in Christ he will no longer be able to deceive us, so he loses his power over our lives. Make an effort this week to have quiet time as we read God's word and allow the Holy Spirit to bring some revelation through it, not just information. You will find that It will refresh, strengthen and even change your circumstance, situation, or bring healing both to body and soul.

That's the power of revelation Knowledge in the treasure of God's Word. It's only when we realize the Truth of who we are and what we have that we can truly live life to the fullest!

Let me leave you with this scripture, it's one of my favourites, let it sink into your spirit, it will change the way you see yourself. (Romans 8:11)

"and if the Spirit of Him Who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your bodies through His Spirit, Who lives in you."
