Hi Everyone,

One of my grandchildren was asking me to buy them something quite expensive, hoping I could avoid it I said, "Why don't you ask God to provide it for you?" She responded, "I did and he said to ask you, Nonna!" Haha! Very cheeky yes, but how many times do we go looking for our needs to be met by others when really we should be asking God? Paul said that He would provide all our needs in Philippians 4:19.

In Genesis 17:1 He introduced Himself to Abraham as "El Shaddai, Hebrew for God Almighty" which actually means strong-nourisher, strength-giver, satisfier, supplier and life-giver.

He is Jehovah Elohim - Eternal, Creator!

In Exodus 3:14 God says to Moses -"I AM WHO I AM"

I believe He was telling Moses that He was going to be all they needed along their journey, and He was! He provided for all their needs along the way and protected them until they reached the promised land 40 yrs later.

Psalms 23:1 (NLT) says,

"The Lord is my Shepherd, I have everything I need."

Meaning he would feed, guide, protect and shield.

Read Exodus 34:11-31. It speaks about "The Good Shepherd".

Nothing has changed, He is still the Great I Am and will provide for and protect us,  also if we will just submit ourselves and ask Him. He never changes and yes, He was in our past and He'll be in our future, but He is also whatever we need Him to be today!

Hebrews 10:23 tells us

"God can be trusted to Keep His promise"

So what do you need today?
Are you looking for it in the wrong place?
I believe He would say "I Am here for you today, you don't need to worry or go looking everywhere else --just ask Me and I will provide all your needs".

Often we leave prayer as our last option, when it should be the first thing we do because God can open or shut doors and He can do what we could never do!  Why don't you try this week? Go speak to God before you try in your own strength. He will often give us answers to things we would never have thought of.
"Behold, I Am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is anything too difficult for Me?" (Jeremiah 32:27)
