Hi Everyone,

Have a read of 2 Kings 6:8-23. In verse 15 we read that the servant of Elisha panicked when he saw a great army surrounding them, but Elisha says to him… “Don’t Be Afraid!” Elisha told him. ‘For there are more on our side than on theirs!” He then goes on to say,

“’ O Lord, open his eyes and let him see!’. The Lord opened the young men’s eyes and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire!” (2 Kings 6:16-17)

I’m sure the young servant’s eyes were open, but Elisha was declaring it in the spirit realm, and in the spiritual realm he was surrounded by God’s army of angels. In 2 Chronicles 32:7- 8 we read that King Hezekiah says to the people “Be strong and courageous! Don’t be afraid because the King of Assyria or his mighty army, for there is a power far greater on our side! He may have a great army, but they are merely men. We have the Lord our God help us and to fight our battles for us!”

I wonder if he could see more then with his eyes and hear more than just his natural ears could hear. And we read with all the prophets that God spoke to them and they saw visions in the spirit realm.

Jesus said that His sheep hear and recognise His voice. (John 10:4-5, 16 & 27)

These days we seem to rely on the anointed few to hear from God and tell us what they see but the truth is that we should all hear and see in the spirit realm if we take the time to sit quietly in God’s presence and let Him speak to us.

I believe we would be so much more confident, secure and at peace and be an encouragement to those around us, especially in these difficult times we are going through!

Let’s make more of an effort to spend time listening to the Holy Spirit, you’ll be surprised at how much you’ve missed in your busy life!

Scriptures: 1 Kings 18:41, 2 Kings 6:16- 17, 2 King 6:8-23, 2 Chronicles 32:7- 8, John 10:4-27.

“’ No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him.’ But it was to us that God revealed these things by His Spirit. For His Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets.” (1 Corinthians 2:9- 10)

God bless you all and have a great week!

Love Giovanna!
