Hi Everyone,

As I looked around the garden I noticed that the flowers that were looking down seemed as if they were dying up and shrivelling, but the ones that were looking up with their little faces looking up towards the sun were blossoming, full of colour, very much alive and beautiful.

I felt God was saying to us, ‘Look up little flower, don’t look at what is happening around you, just keep your eyes on Me! I Am your strength, I AM your provider, I am your protector and healer, I Am your life!” (Deuteronomy 30:20)

We are like those flowers, when we look down around us we can become discouraged, we can become so caught up on what’s happening in the news and around the world that it can make us fearful and anxious, but when we look up to Jesus the Son, we are strengthened, encouraged, refreshed and joyful even in the midst of difficult times. As the song says…

“Turn your eyes upon Jesus,

Look full in His wonderful face,

And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,

In the light of His glory and grace.”

Everything around us is temporary and our eternal life, our relationship with Jesus is what is most important. Unfortunately many of God’s people are falling away under the pressure and cares of the world and Jesus said they would. (Matthew 24:10+24)

Don’t let that be you!

Lift up your head and look up towards the SON and be full of peace and joy no matter what is going on around you!

I heard it said once “A boat will have an ocean of water around it and float without any problems, but if the water gets inside it….. it will sink!”

“We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfect our faith”  (Hebrews 12:2 NLT)

“Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in….” (Hebrews 12:2 Message)
