Hi Everyone,

I was watching my 3-year-old granddaughter dancing around, dressed in her pretty princess dress, tiara on her head, princess hi-heel shoes, which kept slipping off her feet causing her to stumble, necklaces, bracelets and erring’s, the lot! She looked like a Disney princess bride!

“Wow! You look like you’re going off to get married!” I said, expecting her to say yes as she climbed into her princess, royal coach, made of all my kitchen chairs and doona off my bed! But no! Her reply caught me by surprise!

“No!" she said, “My Prince had not yet come!” was her response as she looked at me with a serious look on her cute little face, covered in lipstick etc.

At first, I laughed but then it made me stop and think earlier I had told her to go and play outside but she didn’t want to get her dress dirty! Now I know why, I thought, she wanted her dress to be clean and ready for her prince! Well, maybe not, but it did get me thinking.

Isaiah 9:6 says “For a child is born to us, a Son is given to us, The government will rest on His shoulders and He will be called: Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Acts 5:31 says “God exalted him to His right hand to be Prince and Leader and Saviour and Deliverer and preserver, in order to grant repentance to Israel and to bestow forgiveness and release from sins.”

Yes, Jesus is The Prince and there are many other scriptures I could give you and in Revelations 22:7, 12.

Jesus says “look, I Am coming soon…”

Again, in Revelations 22:20

“He Who is the faithful witness to all these things says “Yes, I Am coming soon!” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus! "

So, I began to ask myself

  • Am I waiting for my Prince?
  • Are the shoes I’m wearing causing me to stumble?
  • Am I awake, alert and read?
  • What about you?

"Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth shall gaze upon Him and beat their breasts and mourn and lament over Him. Even so, (must it be) Amen (so be it)"
