Hi Everyone,

I was looking out my kitchen window at my grandchildren playing in our backyard it reminded me of when my children, their parents, were there playing. I started thinking about all the mischief they got up to.

One day they were playing with a ball when the ball went over the fence, so all of my brave sons decided to send their sister over the fence to get the ball, and she innocently climbed over the fence, what she didn't realize was that there were 4 dogs waiting on the other side of the fence!

Well, I just happened to ask my boys, 'where is your sister?' When they said over the fence I yelled out to my husband and wow! He jumped over that fence in a flash! I've never seen him move so fast! He seemed like an athlete going for gold! Yes, I guess he was going for gold, his precious little girl!

It got me thinking if that's what a natural father would do, imagine our heavenly Father God!

Jesus says in Matthew 7:11 "So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask Him."

Have a read of Matthew 7:7-11 and Matthew 6:25-34.

In the story of the prodigal in Luke 15:11-32, the father didn't care that he'd spent all his money and offended the father in that culture and that he was smelly and dirty and didn't deserve even to be a servant let alone a son again! He embraced him rejoicing that he was back!

What love he demonstrated!

Jesus was trying to help us understand how much God loves us. In John 16:27 He says...
"For the Father Himself (tenderly) loves you..."

1 John 4:8+16 Says "God is love".

1 John 3:1 says "See how very much our Father loves us, for He calls us His children, add that is what we are!"

We really should not worry about anything with a loving Father like that. Notice in Genesis 2:7 when He made man, He made him last because He wanted to make sure that everything was ready and looking just perfect first so the man could enjoy it! God is a good, good, loving Father and He wants to bless us, help us, protect and provide for us, but it's up to us to trust Him and place our lives in His hands and when we do that it brings such peace, security and joy into our lives! So why worry?

Let's do that today, trust Him, put all our cares, our fears, our pains, our past, our future in His hands and just enjoy life!

"Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again - Rejoice! Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do, remember the Lord is coming soon. Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:4-7)
