Hi Everyone,

Have you ever been through a time when you're going through a difficult situation and have wondered if God is really going to bring you through this time? So what do you do at times like that? I like to write notes on the side of my bible with dates so that at times like that I go back and read and remember what God's already brought me through and know that if He's done it before He will do it again and again because He never changes! (Malachi 3:6 and Numbers 23:19).

It's encouraging, strengthening and it keeps me in an attitude of belief and expectant joy. Knowing that He will never fail me, no never! In 1 Samuel 17:37, David declares "The Lord that rescued me from the claws of the lion and the bear will rescue me from this Philistine!"

David knew that if God had done it before then He would do it again. He wasn't looking at the size of his enemy but at the size and faithfulness of his God.

Remember that God is always bigger than our problem! There's nothing that He cannot do! In Jeremiah 32:17, Jeremiah says

"O Sovereign Lord! You made the heavens and the earth by your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too difficult for You!"

Now, look at Deuteronomy 7:18-19 Moses says to the Israelites. "...Don't be afraid of them! Just remember what the Lord your God did to Pharoah and to all the land of Egypt. Remember the great terror the Lord your God sent against them. You saw it all with your own eyes! And remember the miraculous signs and wonders, and the strong hand and powerful arm with which He brought you out of Egypt..." Read also Deuteronomy 5:15, 4:39, 8:18.

Wouldn't you think that just the crossing of the Red Sea would have been enough? But isn't it funny how quickly we forget, so that next time when we're in a crisis, we start to worry again!

Yet God shows us over and over again that He is faithful and will never abandon us! (Hebrews 13:5)

So next time, remember what God has already brought you through and praise Him for the victory that's on the way!
