Hi Everyone,

I was having some time with the Lord recently and suddenly, as I looked out my window, our solar lights caught my attention. I began to think about how the sun shines on solar lights so that they can light up at night. Those that take in only a little sun, shine a little then go out, but those that have absorbed much light, shine from night to morning!

So are we, we are the solar lights and HE is the SON! Jesus is the light of the world, that's what John 8:12 says. (John 1:4-5 and 9:5) Those who absorb much, shine much and shine all around them, but those that take in little, shine a little and give off only a little light! Which one are you?

Do you shine through the night to others around you or do you have only a little light that goes quickly?

We need to learn to just be still and enjoy His presence... Psalm 16:11 says that in His Presence is fullness of joy, a joy that we cannot obtain in material things or people.

Peace is another thing that we obtain when we spend time with our Lord. Isaiah 9:6 says that He is the Prince of Peace, it's not the peace you can receive anywhere else 'cause the world is full of fear, problems and darkness, but remember that's when the solar lights shine best and brightest, in the darkness!

We are called to be light in our dark world. Jesus says in Matthew 5:14 (AMP) "You are the light of the world." It goes on to say in vs 16 "Let your light shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognise and honour and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven."

So how do we do this? By spending time and allowing ourselves to absorb the Son!

So perhaps this is a good time to ask ourselves, am I shining wherever I go? Can those around me sense the peace of God when I'm around? Can they feel the warmth of the Son?

If yes, then keep on shining brightly wherever you go! If not find yourself a nice quiet spot and just absorb the presence of the Son. Be refreshed and strengthened, refresh and strengthen your relationship with Him!

Let's all shine brightly for our Lord!

God bless you all and have a great week!

Love Giovanna!
